We performed calligraphy at an event hosted by the Japanese Embassy.
On April 19th, at the request of the embassy in Japan,
we performed a “calligraphy performance
” as the opening act at the morning seminar.
The performance started as a surprise for the guests attending this time.
Most of the guests were from overseas, and at
first everyone watched quietly, not knowing what was going on, but
the moment they started writing kanji with a large brush.
Everyone pointed their cameras and cellphones at us, and
when the project was completed,
we were greeted with loud applause.
At the end, the teacher explained the meanings of kanji, and
“kanji” seem to be very cool when viewed from overseas.
Afterwards, the work was moved to the lunch venue
and again to the Meiji Kinen Hall in the evening,
where the work was viewed at a social gathering in the evening,
and then taken back to the embassy.
This performance
also includes violin performances,
so please feel free to contact us.
